Paul McClean first made this cheese in 2000 in his cottage in Kearney - and now produces it on in the Castlereagh Hills for Farmview Dairies. The cheese is semi-hard blue with a distinctive rind, open texture and smooth, creamy flavour.
Why do we love them?
We love a local success story and Paul's journey is exactly that. Plenty of hard work, and a wonderful talent for making superb blue cheese has seen Kearney blue receive recognition at the International Cheese Awards, the World Cheese Awards and The Great Taste Awards.
