Shortcross Gin and Plum Chutney is a delicious handmade chutney from Belfast’s Deli Muru that is packed full of Shortcross gin soaked plums with a hint of orange and cinnamon. This delectable little creation was made in partnership with Shortcross Gin distillery in Downpatrick – we love to see local producers collaborating like this!
Deli Muru is a Great Taste award winning producer of artisanal, homemade chutneys and biscuits. Started in 2014 by dedicated foodie and traveller, Kay Armstrong, Deli Muru is the culmination of her 25 years of cooking and baking experience. Muru is a Finnish word that translates to ‘a little something’, and we think there is a little something special in every bite!
Kay is passionate about creating top quality products and strives to use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Deli Muru has been known to partner with some of Ireland’s best artisan producers to create some exciting crossover products such as their Shortcross Gin & Plum Chutney.
Kay recommends pairing your Shortcross Gin and Plum chutney with a soft goats cheese and bresaola. Don’t worry – Indie Füde has got you covered on both counts…we’d suggest some St. Tola Ash goats cheese and an Ispini charcuterie board. Yum!
